RISE - jazz up your swing

It’s not what you do... but the way that you do it. We dance to jazz — and we want our dancing to be swingy, fresh and comfortable. 6 units to explore variations and to cross the border between Lindy Hop and Solo Jazz. The goal is to be ourselves while dancing with someone!

REMARKS

• 6 units starting on December 2nd
• Visit tanzkommune.net for orientation in your Lindy Hop journey at Tanzkommune.
• We expect you to have a solid control of the typical Lindy Hop rhythm patterns (6-count, 8-count, lindy-charleston) and to be able to switch between them. Also being familiar with classic moves such as promenades, “frankie-six”, change of places, and swing out will be assumed as known. For those unsure with the level: don’t hesitate to ask your trainers or sign-up for GROUND level. Don’t be afraid to repeat the basics — you always learn something new!
• Sign up for this course if you want to dance as LEAD. As FOLLOW, please choose course number 0732b.
• No designated partner required to sign up
• We rotate partners in our Lindy Hop courses. That's Lindy Hop: learning as a group, social and fun!

BRING ALONG

• water bottle
• towel or extra shirt to change
• indoor shoes - not staining - the less sticky the better for dancing
